Briana Hertzog’s first solo show “Reign” features fanciful paintings of Queens and their subjects. The narratives in her paintings are an alluring escape from the mundane, displaying bright colors and eccentric imagery. Each painting takes the viewer deep into stories of forgiveness, strength, and altruism.

Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Briana Hertzog graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Communication Arts. She focuses her creative endeavors on illustration while simultaneously developing her personal body of work. Her fine art draws influence from her background in illustration with pieces described as playful, whimsical narratives. Her art has been published in multiple books and magazines including Richmond Magazine and North American Review.
