WHINO, is a 6,200-square-foot restaurant, combined with an art gallery on the second floor of the new Ballston Quarter at 4238 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia. This modern open concept venue invites patrons to inhabit large-scale mural installations while enjoying craft cocktails, beer, wine and globally inspired social plates. WHINO sports exposed black steel high ceilings, creating a loft-like experience. The combination of design elements will provide a fun and refined destination for types of events!

Social Events at the Bar

Attendees: 25-100 | Pricing is for parties and meetings only

We have a perfect spot for all Social Events at the bar. In this area there are 4 tables which can be grouped together with a very large space between the tables and the bar. These tables seat 12 and will have a dedicated server for it and can act as your home base as your other guests mingle standing up around the tables. For larger groups of over 75 the usage of the tasting bar with an additional 12 seats of seating is available bringing the total of 24 seats if necessary.

All your guests can order with separate tabs , No food or beverage minimums or any fees. And ood and drink packages are available if desired.

Social Event at the Tasting Bar

We have an intimate spot for small social events, presentation and meetings at the tasting bar. In this area there are 12 seats and will have a dedicated server. You can have up to another 12 guests mingle standing up around the tasting bar.

Terms and Conditions

We do not charge and rental fees or fees of any kind for our events. A food and beverage minimum is required when seats are being used. So with 12 seats there is a food and beverage minimum of $270 per hour not including tax and tip.

Large Party Dining - Birthdays / Celebrations / Corporate Dinners

For our groups which are 8-24 people we offer to put tables together for a dinner party. For parties of 14 or less you have the option of ordering a la carte or from our Prefix menu. For parties 14 or more please choose from our Prefix menu. Over 24 people we can accommodate by having two tables of 24 people each for a total of 48 people in two tables. Balloons and Cake allowed

We do not charge and rental fees or fees of any kind for our events. A food and beverage minimum is required when seats are being used. We have a $45 per person minimum for a 2 hour dinner which does not include tax or gratuity.

Semi Private Rental

At the back of the restaurant is the best spot in the venue with corner 16 foot high full height windows facing Wilson Blvd.  This area has its own large bar which seats 19 as well as can accommodate 48 seated in the dining room for a total of 67 seats.  For social events we can remove the tables as necessary and can accommodate up to 100 people.  Food is served family style for dinners and buffet style for social events.  The area will be roped off for your guests only.

Full Restaurant Buyout

Attendees: 100-400 | Deposit is Required | Pricing is for all event types

With a full buyout you have access to the entire space and the restaurant will be closed to the public.  You will have access to the tasting bar, main bar and the kitchen bar and can use each bar with different functions as you see fit.  The dining room tables and chairs can be arranged as needed.  Art gallery and retail space will be available for guests to experience.  We have optional services available to make your event turnkey such as AV Equipment for rent, Vendors for services such as photography and photo booths as well as band and DJs of all genres.
